Feeder Cattle Weighted Average Report for 06/18/2013

   Compared to last week’s very thin test, steers and heifers sold steady 
to mostly 5.00 higher. Large crowd of buyers bid readily from start to 
finish on Tuesday’s offerings. Slaughter cows and bulls sold 1.00-2.00 
higher. Slaughter cow buyers were aggressive from start to finish. Some 
cows returned to the county.  Supply included 70 percent feeder cattle 
with the balance on slaughter cattle, pairs and baby calves. Of the 
feeders 51 percent were heifers with near 84 percent of the run over 600 
lbs. All class cattle auction next week.
