Feeder Cattle Weighted Average Report for 01/27/2012

   Compared to last week, steers under 600 lbs sold 2.00 to 4.00 higher with 
550 lbs trending 9.00 higher, over 600 lbs sold fully steady to 1.00 higher. 
Comparable heifer offerings under 600 lbs sold 7.00 to 10.00 higher, over 
600 lbs sold fully steady. The offering was attractive with numerous load-
lot drafts of top quality calves with many all-time high prices achieved. 
Steers comprised of 65 percent of the run, heifers 35 percent with near 58 
percent over 600 lbs. Next week expecting 3000 head of feeders.
