Sheep and Goat Auction Report for 05/04/2013

Receipts:  310     Last Month:  300     Last Year:  0    

   Compared to last month, slaughter lambs sold steady on a thin test; 
slaughter ewes steady and bucks sold sharply lower. Goat kids sold mostly 
steady to 5.00 higher; slaughter nannies mostly steady to 2.00 lower while 
slaughter billies sold steady to 10.00 lower. Demand was moderate to good 
from a moderate size crowd. Sheep and lambs sold on a per cwt basis and 
goats sold on a per head basis unless otherwise noted.  Note:  The Sheep 
and Goat Auction is held the 1st Saturday of the Month, start time is at 
12:00 p.m.

   Slaughter Lambs: Non-traditional pkg 70 lbs 101.00; pkg 117 lbs 83.00.

   Feeder Lambs:  40 lbs 116.00; pkg 75 lbs 115.00.

   Slaughter Ewes:  Good 2-4 145-210 lbs 20.00-31.00; Utility 2-3 110-180
