        SOUTHERN DIRECT SLAUGHTER COW AND BULL CARCASS REPORT

Slaughter for previous day:		5,400   Bulls 14%

Compared to Previous Day: Cows mostly steady to 2.00 higher; bulls mostly
steady. 

On Monday Des Moines reported 90% boneless selling mostly firm to 2.00 higher
at 123.58 and 85% mostly 1.00 to 2.00 lower at 114.73. The cutter cow carcass cutout 
value settled up .92 at 100.08. Beef trimmings trended weak on light demand and       
offerings.
