Weekly Feeder Cattle Summary w/e November 21, 2009

   Compared to last week at Wyoming Auctions feeder steers and heifers under 600 
lbs sold steady to 3.00 higher, except Riverton Tuesday steady to 3.00 lower; 
yearlings not well tested in Torrington while the yearling steers in Riverton 
sold steady, heifers 2.00-4.00 lower except 750-800 lb heifers 1.00-2.00 higher.  
Demand moderate to good.  Direct trade slow.  No comparison available. Demand 
light.  Unless otherwise noted direct prices are current FOB with a 2-3 percent 
shrink or equivalent, and with a 5-10 cent slide on calves and 3-6 cent slide on 
yearlings from base weight. Steers made up approximately 62 percent of the total 
receipts, heifers 38 percent. Offerings over 600 lbs totaled 17 percent.  Direct 
sales accounted for 190 head of the total receipts.
