Compared to last week, dressed sales sold mostly 2.00 lower at 129.00, few traded at 130.00 Live sales sold .50 to 1.50 lower from 81.50-82.00. Trading was mostly inactive in all other feeding regions. Thursday afternoon boxed beef cutout values weak to lower on moderate demand and moderate to heavy offerings. Choice closed the day down .93 at 137.52 and Select was down .34 at 132.29 with 309 total loads sold. Estimated cattle slaughter for Thursday was reported at 126,000 head. Note: prices are based on net weights FOB the feedlot after a 3-4% shrink unless otherwise noted. Dressed prices based on hot carcass weights delivered to the plant.
