Central U.S. Daily Direct Feedlot Slaughter Cattle Report as of 3:30 pm

  On Monday negotiated cash trade was mostly inactive on light demand in all 
feeding regions. Monday afternoon boxed beef cutout values were firm to higher 
on moderate demand and light offerings. Choice was up .53 at 210.04 with Select 
up 1.10 to close at 193.41 on 147 loads. The hide and offal value from a typical 
slaughter steer for today was estimated at 13.96 per cwt live, unchanged when 
compared to Friday's value. The estimated cattle slaughter for Monday was 
reported at 125,000. June CME live cattle contracts were up .72 to close at 
120.15.

on a voluntary basis. This report will be released at 3:30pm daily and
more frequently during active trading periods.
