Daily National Grain Market Summary

   Corn for July closed with sharp gains as soybeans closed with slight losses 
and wheat closed mixed.  Corn has strong basis values and grain inspections were 
also positive for market direction and continued tight old-crop supplies.  
Soybeans were pressured by less than expected rainfall over the weekend and with 
aggressive planting expected to show good gains in soybean plantings.  Kansas 
City wheat had slight gains as rains across the Southern plains could cause 
harvest delays while Chicago had slight losses along with Minneapolis wheat 
closing lower.  Wheat closed mixed.  Corn traded 10-16 cents higher.  Soybeans 
closed mostly 4-6 cents lower.
