Special Dairy Heifer Sale

  Demand good, Supply moderate, with near 07 percent springer 
heifers, 07 percent bred heifers, 21 percent open heifers, 05 
percent fresh heifers and cows, 13 percent milking cows, 13 
percent bred and springer cows, and 11 percent baby calves. 
Holsteins unless noted otherwise.  This was the last sale for 
the Blansit Dairy and Stock Cattle Co.  They are closing the 
doors after nearly thirty years of weekly auctions.  

  Springer heifers: Supreme 1585.00-1725.00; Approved 1175.00-
1520.00; Medium 700.00-1000.00, Common 460.00-700.00.

  Heifers bred 4 to 7 months: Supreme 1540.00-1650.00, 
Registered 1675.00-1880.00; Approved 1080.00-1480.00, Registered
1430.00-1575.00; Medium 700.00-1090.00; Common few 480.00-550.00.
  
  Open Heifers: Medium and Approved mixed lot 798 lbs 1085.00; 
600-700 lbs 1090.00-1130.00; 500-565 lbs 875.00-950.00; 400-500 
lbs 775.00-900.00; 300-350 lbs 750.00-770.00.   
  
  Fresh Heifers and Cows: Approved 1300.00-1640.00, individual
