SF_LS767 Sioux Falls, SD Thu Feb 04, 2010 USDA-SD Dept Ag Market News Mobridge Livestock Exchange - Mobridge, SD Feeder Cattle Weighted Average Report for 02/04/2010 Receipts: 3300 Last Week: 3129 Year Ago: 2646 Compared to last week: Feeder steers weighing below 600 lbs sold mostly steady to 2.00 lower, cattle weighing over 600 lbs sold steady to 3.00 higher with full incline on 700 to 900 lb cattle. Feeder heifers sold unevenly steady. Slaughter cows and bulls had no recent comparison, however a higher undertone noted on all classes. Demand moderate to good for all classes. Today's supply consisted of 97 percent feeder cattle and the balance slaughter cows and bulls. Of the feeder cattle supply 63 percent steers; 37 percent heifers, with 81 percent weighing over 600 lbs. Next week there will be a special pre-conditioned and weaned calf sale and weigh-up sale Thursday, February 11th, 2010.
