Slaughter cows sold mostly 2.00 to 3.00 higher on increased offerings. Slaughter bulls sold mostly steady to 1.00 higher. Buyer attendance good with very good demand and active trade. Today's supply consisted of approximately 65 percent slaughter cow and bulls; 35 percent feeder cattle, and the balance replacement cattle. Of the feeder cattle supply 52 percent steers; 48 percent heifers, with 76 percent weighing over 600 lbs. A regular cattle sale will be held next Tuesday, July 7th.
