Pierre, SD Feeder Cattle Weighted Average Report for 01/29/2010 Receipts: 6187 Last Week: 939 Year Ago: 4105 Compared to last week: Feeder steers sold mostly 2.00 to 4.00 higher on increased offerings. Feeder heifers sold 4.00 to 5.00 higher with full incline on 500 to 700 lb cattle. Several buyers in attendance today, largely due to weather improvement throughout the area. Demand very good. Quality average to attractive. Of the feeder cattle supply 65 percent steers; 35 percent heifers, with 75 percent weighing over 600 lbs.
