Weekly Sheep Summary 

   Compared to last week, shorn slaughter lambs steady, wooled
slaughter lambs mostly 1.00-2.00 lower.  Slaughter ewes and feeder
lambs too few to establish a trend.  Buyer attendance moderate
with moderate demand.  Sheep supplies near 79 percent slaughter 
lambs, 12 percent slaughter ewes, 8 percent feeder lambs and the 
balance mostly bucks.  Receipts this week 329 including 42 goats 
compared with 423 including 66 goats last week and 742 including 
145 goats a year ago.  The estimated Federally Inspected sheep and 
lamb slaughter the first three days this week 29,000, compared with 
31,000 last week and 27,000 a year ago.

   Shorn Slaughter Lambs:  Choice and Prime 2-3 128-143 lbs 93.50-
94.50.

   Wooled Slaughter Lambs:  Choice and Prime 2-3 119-137 lbs 
92.00-94.00.  Choice 1-2 114 lbs 95.50.  Choice 2-3 Hair sheep
95 lbs 94.50.

   Slaughter Ewes:  Good 2-3 (Fleshy) 133-143 lbs 33.00-35.00.  
Good 3-4 (Fleshy) 185-201 lbs 37.50-41.00.  

   Feeder Lambs:  Medium and Large 1-2 93 lbs 95.00.

   Slaughter Goats:  Nannies/Does Selection 1 109 lbs 69.50,
Selection 1-2 110-112 lbs 57.00-59.00.
