South Dakota Direct Feeder Cattle 
Feeder Cattle Weighted Average Report for 11/20/2009
 
Receipts:  220    Last Week:  800    Year Ago:  390
 
Compared to last week value added feeder heifers sold steady on a 
light test.  There were no other comparable sales.  Demand moderate. 
Contacts find auctions more to their liking right now.  Weather has 
been dry and unseasonably warm for two weeks.  Combines running quite
steadily as corn is drying down to around 20 percent.  Some however, 
is still wetter than 20 percent so is being left for now.  100 
percent heifers.  100 percent under 600 lbs.   All sales FOB North 
and South Dakota with a 2-3 percent shrink or equivalent and a 4-5 
cent slide on yearlings and a 5-10 cent slide on calves from base 
weights.

     Feeder Steers:  No reported sales.

     Feeder heifers:  Medium and large 1 Current Delivery FOB 480 lbs
95.00; 550 lbs value added 100.00.
