Compared to last week slaughter steers and heifers steady.
Holstein steers too few last week for a comparison, however, a
steady to firm undertone noted.  Slaughter cows steady to 2.00 
lower.  Slaughter bulls scarce.  Buyer attendance moderate.  
Demand was moderate to good on all classes of slaughter cattle.         

   Slaughter Steers:  Choice 2-3 1288-1495 lbs 82.25-84.00, 
Choice 3-4 1511-1607 lbs 80.85-82.90.  Select and Choice 2-3 1235- 
1395 lbs 81.00-82.60.  Choice and Prime 2-3 Holsteins 1380-1615 lbs 
74.00-74.50.  Choice 2-3 Holsteins 1315-1690 lbs 72.50-73.85.  
Select and Choice 2-3 1215-1250 lbs 70.50-71.50, 1430-1600 lbs 68.00-
69.50.  Select 1-2 pkg 1330 lbs 66.00.                                   

   Slaughter Heifers:  Choice 2-3 1228-1365 lbs 82.00-83.25.  Choice
