Markets are not established but lower undertone apparent. A great deal of wheat hay being baled where weather allows. Demand and interest moderate for early wheat and rye. Demand extremely light for poor or fair quality offerings. Crop and pasture conditions not showing improvement even with additional moisture. Cattlemen continue to reduce stocking rates. Alfalfa Central Oklahoma: Few loads untested first-cutting hay moving to dairies 200.00-215.00 per ton. Few loads Fair to Good quality 150.00-160.00. New crop small square bales horse hay 8.00-9.00 per bale. Alfalfa Eastern Oklahoma: No test. Last sales Premium quality delivered 250.00. Small square bales new crop horse hay 9.00 per bale. Western Oklahoma: New crop untested 205.00-215.00. Fair quality 150.00. Grass Hay Central Oklahoma: Few sales new crop good quality wheat hay 50.00-60.00 per bale in 4 X 5 or 5 X 5 bales. Same hay 90.00-105.00 per ton. New crop rye hay 4 X 5 bales 45.00-55.00 per bale. Western Oklahoma: Good wheat hay 50.00-60.00 per bale, few to 65.00 per bale. Good wheat hay mostly 90.00-100.00 per ton. Corn stalks delivered in panhandle area 60.00-70.00 per ton. Eastern Oklahoma: Largely untested as wet weather delaying baling. Small amount rye and winter mix hay offered 40.00-60.00 per bale in 4 X 5 and 5 X 5 bales. Small square bales mostly 5.00-7.00 per bale. Prices are dollars per ton and FOB unless otherwise noted.
