TURKEY: Daily National Turkey Market-At-A-Glance

DOMESTIC MARKET HIGHLIGHTS

The market tone on frozen hens and consumer sized toms was steady to fully 
steady. Demand was slow to moderate. Offerings were light to adequate. Frozen 
offering prices on a national basis for hens and toms ranged 72-77 cents 
shipping point for current deliveries.  

The trade sentiment on white meat items was steady to barely steady with 
breast trim steady to fully steady. Demand was slow to moderate for the 
mostly adequate offerings; breast trim in the shortest position. The market 
tone was steady to fully steady on parts and steady on thigh meat. Demand was 
light to moderate. Offerings of parts were tight to barely adequate and thigh 
meat light to adequate. The trade sentiment on MST was steady to instances 
firm. Demand was moderate for the light offerings. Trading was generally 
slow. Parts of the country have been affected by recent winter storm activity 
causing some production issues and trucking delays. 

EXPORT MARKET HIGHLIGHTS

Trading was slow. The market tone on thigh meat was steady to barely steady 
with the balance of items steady to fully steady. Offerings were light to 
adequate.
