TURKEY: Daily National Turkey Market-At-A-Glance

DOMESTIC MARKET HIGHLIGHTS

The market tone on 8-16 lb. hens and 16-24 lb. toms was fully steady. 
Demand for fresh and frozen whole turkeys was light to moderate. Light 
trading was reported for fill-in basis with minimal logistics. Offerings 
light and held with confidence. The market tone on bulk parts was steady 
to fully steady, except tom 2-joint wings and necks steady to barely 
steady. Demand was light to moderate. Offerings were short to adequate. 
The trade sentiment on thigh meat was fully steady to firm. Demand was 
good. Offerings tight and short of needs. The market tone on mechanically
separated turkey was barely steady. Demand was light for the fully 
adequate offerings. 

EXPORT MARKET HIGHLIGHTS

Trading was slow to moderate. Demand was light to moderate with interest 
noted from Mexico, South Africa, Caribbean and Asia. Offerings short to 
adequate.
