TURKEY: Daily National Turkey Market-At-A-Glance

DOMESTIC MARKET HIGHLIGHTS

The market tone on 8-16 lb. hens and 16-24 lb. toms was steady to fully 
steady. Demand for fresh and frozen whole turkeys was light to moderate.
No trading was reported. Offerings of fresh and frozen whole turkeys was 
limited. Fresh and frozen logistics starting to wind down for the 
Thanksgiving holiday. The market tone on tom bulk parts was steady to 
fully steady, except full cut wings fully steady to firm, tom 2-joint 
wings and necks steady to barely steady. Demand was light to moderate. 
Offerings were short to adequate. The trade sentiment on thigh meat was 
fully steady to firm. Demand was good. Offerings tight. The market tone 
on mechanically separated turkey was barely steady. Demand was light for 
the fully adequate offerings. 

EXPORT MARKET HIGHLIGHTS

Trading was light to moderate and centered on tom drums and tails. Demand 
was light to moderate. Offerings in a full range, short to adequate.
