DOMESTIC MARKET HIGHLIGHTS

The market on 8-16 lb. hens and 16-24 lb. toms is steady.  Demand light.  Processor 
offerings of hens and 16-24 lb. toms light to moderate with some holding 8-10 lb. 
hens supplies with more confidence.  Frozen Grade A basted equivalent processor 
offering prices on a national basis for hens 95.00-101.00 cents fob and 16-24 lb. 
toms 92.00-101.00 cents fob for current shipments.  Trading light on frozen basted 
equivalent hens at 96-97.50 cents fob and frozen basted equivalent 16-24 lb. toms at 
96 cents fob for current shipments.
 
The market on tom breast meat, destrapped tenderloins, and wing meat is steady while 
breast trim and scapula are steady to firm.  Demand on tom breast meat is moderate, 
balance moderate to good.  Offerings light on white trims while breast meat and 
destrapped tenderloins are moderate.  The market on tom drums is steady to firm, 
balance of tom bulk parts cautiously steady to steady.  Demand on tom drums is 
moderate to good, balance of tom bulk parts demand light to moderate.  Offerings of 
tom drums light, balance of tom bulk parts moderate.  The thigh meat market is 
generally steady with some caution reported.  Demand light to moderate.  Offerings 
moderate.  The market on mechanically separated turkey is steady.  Demand moderate 
with interest found for post-holiday needs.  Offerings light to moderate with 
supplies held with varying degrees of confidence.  Trading light.


EXPORT MARKET HIGHLIGHTS
