NW_LS727 Des Moines, IA Sat Feb 4, 2012 USDA-IA Dept of Ag Market Sheldon, IA Feeder Cattle Auction Feeder Cattle Weighted Average Report for 02/04/2012 Receipts: 677 Four Weeks ago: 1755 Year Ago: 890 ICA Green/Gold Tag Sale - No trend today due to last sale was four weeks ago, but a higher undertone was noted on steers weighing 450 lbs to 600 lbs and on the heifers weighing 400 to 700 lbs today. Trade was very active with many lots of fancy quality cattle offered and with the weather unusally warmer, some lots of fleshy cattle were in the offering today also. Receipts included 51 percent steers and 49 percent heifers. Cattle weighing over 600 lbs was 47 percent.
