USDA CARLOT VEAL CARCASS REPORT Northeast and North Central Basis

Compared to last week:  The special fed veal carcass market is steady
to lower on light to moderate demand and moderate offerings.
Harvest numbers were nearly 15% lower compared to last week.  Dressed
weights were down 2.4 pounds in the Northeast, up 3.2 pounds in the
North Central, with the composite up 0.8 pounds compared to last
week.
 Represents calves harvested Thursday through Saturday of last week.

 Includes previously committed contract and open market calves.
