MS_GR115 Minneapolis, MN Thu Jul 02, 2009 USDA Market News Minneapolis Weekly Grain Summary Prices for the week ending Thursday, July 02, 2009 The Milling Spring Wheat was sharply lower this past week. The hot weather of the previous week was beneficial for the crops. Attention was focused on both the crop progress and the acreage and stocks report that were released earlier the week. Spring Wheat: Prices are for US 1 Dark Northern Spring Wheat with less than 2.0 pct Vomitoxin. The low 14 pct protein wheat was 45.50 to 50.50 cents lower from 6.8250-6.9750A, the basis was steady to 5 cents higher from 60-75A cents over the Sep futures. The 14.5's were 45.50 to 60.50 cents lower from 7.1250- 7.2750N, the basis was mixed, 10 cents lower to 5 cents higher from 90-105N cents over the Sep futures. The 12 pct protein Hard Red Winter had no quote on the spot floor. The 20 day to-arrive was 57.50 cents lower at 5.6050 with the basis 7 cents lower at 62 cents under the Sep futures. Durum: Choice and Balance Milling Durum had no quote. Both Minneapolis and Duluth terminal durum had no quote. Rye: US 1 Rye had no quote on the spot market. The to-arrive Rye had no bid. Barley: Robust Malting Barley 60 pct or better plump max. 2.0 ppm vomitoxin had no quote. The to-arrive bid for 1.0 ppm vomitoxin rail delivered to Minneapolis was 40 cents lower at 4.25. Feed Barley delivered into Duluth closed the week with no bid. Feed Barley delivered into Minneapolis was 50 cents lower with a bid of 2.25. Corn: US 2 Yellow Corn was 36.75 cents lower at 3.2575, the basis was 20 cents under the Sep futures. The to-arrive bids for corn are: August 3.2475, Sep at 3.1275 and new crop at 3.0650. Oats: US 2 or better Oats had no quote on the spot floor. The To-arrive Bids for oats were 21.50 cents higher from 2.2450-2.2950; the basis was ranged option to 5 cents over the Sep futures. Soybeans: US 1 Yellow Soybeans were 47.00 cents higher at 12.34; the basis was 80 cents over the Aug futures. The to-arrive bids for soybeans are: August at 11.56 September 9.88 and new crop at 9.62. Sunflowers: The NuSun Sunflowers in Enderlin were 60 cents lower at 14.20, Fargo was also 60 cents lower at 14.20.
