ML_LS795 Moses Lake, WA Fri Nov 20, 2009 USDA Market News Weekly Combined Cattle Report - Week ending November 20, 2009 Market: Davenport, WA Market: Toppenish, WA Receipts: 3356 Last Week: 3290 Last Year: 4129 Compared to last week, feeder cattle under 600 lbs steady to 2.00 higher, instances 3.00-4.00 higher early in the week, over 600 lbs steady to 2.00 higher early, closing the week steady to 2.00 lower. Slaughter cows steady to 2.00 lower early in the week, but steady to 2.00, instances 3.00-4.00 higher late in the week. Slaughter bulls steady to 2.00 lower early, however closing the week steady to 1.00 higher. Trade moderate to active and demand was good especially for lighter weight feeder cattle. Slaughter cows made up 36 percent of the offering, replacement cows 2 percent, slaughter bulls 1 percent, feeder cattle 61 percent. The feeder supply included 51 percent steers and bulls, 49 percent heifers and cows. Near 47 percent of run weighed over 600 lbs.
