Toppenish Livestock Auction, Toppenish, WA    Thursday - 5/16/2013

   Compared to last week at the same market, Feeder cattle more than 700 lbs. weak 
in a light test. Stocker steers and heifers less than 700 lbs. steady. Trade slow 
to moderate with moderate demand. Slaughter cows 6.00-7.00 higher, due to the 
upcoming summer holidays. Slaughter bulls steady to 2.00 lower. Trade very active 
with very good demand. Slaughter cows were approximately 67 percent of the supply; 
Slaughter bulls 10 percent, and feeder’s 23 percent of the supply. The feeder 
supply included 41 percent steers and 59 percent heifers. Near 46 percent of the 
run weighed over 600 lbs. 

   Feeder Steers:  Medium and Large 1-2:  400-500 lbs 136.00;  500-600 lbs 134.50-
138.00;  600-700 lbs 127.00-134.75;  700-800 lbs 123.00;  800-900 lbs 103.00.  
Medium and Large 2-3:  600-700 lbs 114.00.  Large 1-2:  1000-1100 lbs 92.00.  Small 
and Medium 1-2:  500-600 lbs 130.00.  Small 4:  400-500 lbs 60.00.

   Holstein Steers:  Large 2-3:  500-600 lbs 70.00;  800-900 lbs 75.50.

   Bulls:  Medium and Large 1-2:  200-300 lbs 335.00, Per Head.

   Feeder Heifers:  Medium and Large 1-2:  200-300 lbs 275.00, Per Head;  400-500 
lbs 123.00-128.50;  500-600 lbs 118.00-127.00;  600-700 lbs 116.00-117.50;  700-800 
lbs 110.00.  Large 1-2:  900-1000 lbs 79.75, Heiferettes;  1000-1100 lbs  80.00, 
Heiferettes;  1100-1200 lbs 77.00, Heiferettes.  Large 2-3:  900-1000 lbs 72.00;  
1100-1200 lbs 75.00.  Small and Medium 1-2:  600-700 lbs 92.00, Full.  Small 4:
