ML_LS752 Moses Lake, WA Fri May 17, 2013 USDA Market News Northwest Weighted Average Direct Feeder Cattle Weekly Summary WA-OR-ID Receipts: 5000 Last Week: 1500 Year Ago: 1700 Compared to last week, feeder cattle steady in a light test. Trade moderate with moderate to good demand mostly for fall contracting of calves. Dry pasture conditions in Oregon and Idaho have cattle being delivered lighter than normal. Many producers are looking for grass pastures. The supply included 74 percent steers and 26 percent heifers. Near 55 percent of the supply weighed over 600 lbs.
