ML_LS750 Moses Lake, WA Fri Nov 6, 2009 USDA Market News Toppenish Livestock Auction, Toppenish, WA Thursday Feeder Cattle Weighted Average report for 11/5/2009 Receipts: This Week: 2000 Last Week: 1665 Last Year: 1480 Compared to last Thursday at same market, feeder cattle were mixed; weights less than 700 lbs steady to 2.00 higher, over 700 lbs steady to 3.00 lower. Trade active with good demand. Slaughter cows and bulls 2.00-4.00 lower. Trade moderate with light to moderate demand, due to an interest out of the market. Slaughter cows made up 40 percent of the offering; Slaughter bulls 10 percent, and feeders 50 percent of the supply. The feeder supply included 43 percent steers and 57 percent heifers. Near 52 percent of the run weighed over 600 lbs.
