Northwest Direct Feeder Cattle Weekly Summary WA-OR-ID 

Feeder Cattle:
    This Week: 6500     Last Week: 1365   Year Ago: 1735

   Compared to last week’s close, feeder cattle 1.00-2.00 higher. Trade moderate 
to active with good demand. The feeder supply included 69 percent steers and 31 
percent heifers. Near 71 percent of the run weighed over 600 lbs. Prices are FOB 
weighing point with a 1-4 percent shrink or equivalent and with a 5-10 cent 
slide on calves and a 3-6 cent slide on yearlings. Delivered prices include 
freight, commissions and other expenses.
 
   Feeder Steers: Medium and Large 1-2  Current FOB Prices: 850-900 lbs 89.00-
91.00 OR. Future FOB Prices: 450-500 lbs 109.25 for Oct ID; 550-600 lbs 100.00-
105.00 for Oct ID; 600-700 lbs 98.00-106.00 calves for Oct-Nov-Dec WA-ID-OR; 900 
lbs 103.00 for Sep-Oct OR.

   Feeder Heifers: Medium and Large 1-2 Current FOB Prices: 600-650 lbs 97.00 
ID; 800-850 lbs 84.00-86.50 ID-OR. Current Delivered Prices: 850 lbs 94.00-95.00 
WA-OR; Future FOB Prices: 450-500 lbs 98.50-107.75 for Oct ID; 500-600 lbs 
93.00-99.00 for Oct WA-ID; 600-700 lbs 91.00-95.00 calves for Oct-Dec WA-ID.
