Northwest Direct Feeder Cattle Weekly Summary WA-OR-ID 

Feeder Cattle:
    This Week: 2400     Last Week: 2800    Year Ago: 6500

   Compared to last week’s close, feeder cattle steady to weak in a light test. 
Trade slow to moderate with moderate to good demand. The feeder supply included 64 
percent steers and 36 percent heifers. Near 100 percent of the run weighed over 
600 lbs. Prices are FOB weighing point with a 1-4 percent shrink or equivalent and 
with a 5-10 cent slide on calves and a 3-6 cent slide on yearlings. Delivered 
prices include freight, commissions and other expenses.
 
   Feeder Steers: Medium and Large 1-2  Current FOB Prices: 700-750 lbs 107.00-
value added calves ID; 850-900 lbs 103.00-104.00 ID. 900-950 lbs 104.00-106.00 OR. 
Future delivery FOB Prices: 600 lbs 108.00 value added calves WA for Nov; 700-750 
lbs 110.00 value added calves WA for Nov. 

   Feeder Heifers: Medium and Large 1-2  Current FOB Prices: 700-750 lbs 101.50 
value added calves ID; 800-900 lbs 100.00-101.50 ID-OR. Large 1-2  900-950 lbs 
95.00 OR. Future delivery FOB Prices: 650-700 lbs value added calves 103.00 WA for 
Nov.

   Cow/Calf Pairs (Per Pair): Medium and Large 1-2  Young to Broken Mouth 1000-
1300 lbs with 350-400 lbs calves 1000.00 OR.
