Southeast Weekly Hay Report

   Movement and demand for hay and mulch has been light to moderate. Weather 
has been excellent this week for harvesting cool season hay. Volume and 
quality has been very good. Summer grasses have been slow to get going with 
the cool night time temperatures but nights should be staying in the 60 
degree range for the next week. Old crop supplies are still available at the 
same prices. 
Prices are FOB producer barn unless otherwise stated. Approximate bale 
weights: Small Square 55 pounds; Small Round 1000 pounds; Large Rounds 1500
