WHEY PROTEIN CONCENTRATE - CENTRAL AND WEST                             
                                                                        
Central and West whey protein concentrate 34% prices are unchanged during a week of 
light trading activity.  The market tone is steady to firm.  International interest 
is growing, especially into Southeast Asia, and many manufacturers expect inventories 
will tighten considerably during the summer months.  Current production of WPC 34% is 
steady despite a few cheese plants noting their usual milk shipments to fluid 
accounts were pushed back this week, keeping more milk in house for cheese and whey 
stream production.  However, sales of condensed WPC 34% continue into various 
accounts on contract and spot bases, diminishing production of dry WPC 34%.
