CASEIN - NATIONAL

Casein markets and prices remain firm.  Domestic buyers continue to question 
their suppliers on product availability during the coming months.  Most 
suppliers indicate that for regular needs, they will have sufficient volumes to 
meet that need, but state that additional or spot availability will be limited.  
The Commodity Credit Corporation (CCC) is seeking competitive offers to buy from 
CCC up to approximately 1 million pounds of government owned nonfat dry milk for 
the manufacture of edible rennet or acid dry casein or caseinate.  Offers are 
due by December 1, with notification to successful offerors by December 2.
