APPLES, PROCESSED 2012 SEASON

APPALACHIAN DISTRICT(VA, WV, MD, PA). Temperatures have been near normal for 
most of the week with the exception of a cold front that passed through the 
evening of May 14 dropping temperatures into the upper twenties to lower 
thirties. Although there was reported frost, most growers are reporting no 
damage to orchards as the low temperatures did not occur for a long period of 
time. Growers continue to stay busy with thinning.
