In the south, long grain rice price quotes were steady to instances 75 cents lower, quoted mostly at 24.00-25.50; medium grain prices were steady, quoted mostly at 30.50-32.00; parboiled quotes were steady, quoted mostly at 27.75- 29.00; second heads were steady, quoted mostly at 18.50-19.00; brewers were steady, quoted mostly at 17.00-18.00. Rice by-products: Offers for rice bran were steady; millfeed was steady; hulls were steady. In California, medium grain milled rice prices were steady to 50 cents lower, quoted mostly from 37.00-38.00; short grain prices were steady to 50 cents lower; second heads were steady to 1.50 higher; brewers were steady.
