Vermont Beef Producers Fall Graded Feeder Cattle Auction
Essex Junction, VT, Saturday October 10, 2009

Receipts:  219

   The Vermont Beef Producers Association held their 18th annual fall graded 
feeder cattle sale on Saturday October 10th, in Essex Junction.  Demand was 
moderate to good, with firmer demand noted for heavier cattle. All cattle were 
pre-vaccinated and weaned prior to the sale.  Cattle were graded and weighed the 
day before the sale, and sold by the cwt, on their in-weights.

Feeder Steers:  

Medium and Large 1: 400-600 lbs 116.00-118.00; 700-800 lbs 97.00-100.00; 900-
1100 lbs 85.00-89.00

Medium and Large 2: 300-400 lbs 90.00, char-cross 80.00; 400-500 lbs 98.00-
105.00; 500-600 lbs char-cross 80.00-85.00; 600-700 lbs 104.00, Hereford 75.00; 
700-800 lbs 97.00; Hereford 80.00; 800-1050 lbs 85.00.

Feeder Heifers:

Medium and Large 1: 700-900 lbs 89.00-93.00.

Medium and Large 2: 250-400 lbs 75.00-81.00; 400-500 lbs 98.00; 500-700 lbs 
75.00-81.00, char-cross 70.00; 700-800 lbs 94.00.
