Vermont Beef Producers Spring Graded Feeder Cattle Auction
Essex Junction, VT, Saturday May 3, 2008

   The Vermont Beef Producers Association held their annual fall feeder cattle 
sale on Saturday May 3rd, in Essex Junction.  Offerings light at this year's 
spring sale.  Trade moderate with moderate to good demand.  All cattle were pre-
vaccinated and weaned prior to the sale.  Cattle were graded and weighed the 
day before the sale, and sold on their in-weights.

   Feeder Steers:  Medium and Large 1  500-600 lbs blk 119.00-128.00, couple 
exotic 95.00; 600-700 lbs blk 115.00, couple exotic 107.00; 700-800 lbs blk 
99.00-101.00; 800-900 lbs blk 102.00; 900-1000 lbs few blk 96.00.  Medium and 
Large 2  400-500 lbs blk 125.00, Herefords 91.00, couple exotic 82.00; 500-600 
lbs blk 117.00, few Herefords 101.00, exotic 91.00; 600-700 lbs blk 112.00, 
Herefords 100.00, exotic 96.00; 700-800 lbs blk 92.00-98.00, few Herefords
