   Compared to last week slaughter Holsteins sold firm on a very light
test. Demand moderate. Slaughter cows traded steady to 1.00 higher on
good demand. Slaughter cattle supplies consisted of 82 steers and heifers,
158 cows, 7 bulls, and 4 feeders. All prices quoted per cwt. 
   
   Slaughter Holsteins: Select 2-3 1200-1300 lbs 102.00-106.50.

   Slaughter Bulls: Yield Grade 1 1600-2000 lbs average dress 85.00-87.00.

   Calves: Compared to last Tuesday's sale, Holstein Bull calves sold
mostly steady to 10.00 higher on good demand. Heifers sold 10.00-20.00
lower on moderate demand. Ag Market News LLC under the USDA-QSA-LMAR
program graded 550 head for Tuesday's sale. All calves are sold by the
cwt. 

Graded Holstein Bull Calves:  Number 1  124 lbs 112.00; 95-112 lbs
129.00-138.00. Number 2  95-112 lbs 121.00-134.00; 90 lbs 100.00; 83
lbs 77.00. Number 3 109 lbs 75.00; 95 lbs 86.00-90.00; 73-83 lbs 70.00-
79.00. Utility 82-102 lbs 37.00-40.00; 73 lbs 15.00.

   Graded Holstein Heifers: Number 1  93-103 lbs 125.00-132.00.
Number 2 95 lbs 120.00; 83 lbs 85.00. Non-tubing 71 lbs 40.00.
