Receipts: 2912 Last Week: 6023 Year Ago: 3833 Compared to last week: Steer and heifer calves steady, with demand active on lighter weights. Weaned steer and heifer calves and feeders 2.00-3.00 higher. Higher instance of No.1 new crop calves. Weigh-ups average to full with good attendance of buyers. Receipts comprised of 49 percent steers, 45 percent heifers, 5 percent bulls, with 8 percent of cattle over 600 lbs. A total of 494 cows and bulls sold with 40 percent going to packers. Moderate demand fueled mostly steady prices for butcher cows. Increasing interest in bred cows going back to pastures.
