Feeder Cattle Weighted Average Report for Thu 05/08/2008 Receipts: 1703 Last Week: 2370 Year Ago: 2857 Video Receipts: 3075 Compared to last week: Feeder steers steady to 2.00 higher. Feeder heifers steady. Steer and heifer calves lightly tested and steady. Demand again very good for feeder cattle with better action on heavier weights. Receipts somewhat limited due to heavy rains on Wednesday. Receipts consisted of 82 percent over 600 lbs and 39 percent heifers. Estimating 400-500 head of cows and bulls for Friday's sale.
