Feeder Cattle Auction Narrative Report for Wed 02/03/2010
  
   Actual Receipts:  729    Last Week:  6555     Last Year:  7089

   Compared to last week:  No comparison due to lack of a significant 
quantity of any one grade of cattle.  The winter storm from last 
weekend has made travel to and from pastures almost impossible first 
with ice and snow and now with mud.  Demand good for the limited supply 
of feeder cattle and calves.  Quality mostly plain.  Supply consisted 
of 73 percent over 600 lbs; 58 percent heifers.
   Slaughter cows and bulls no comparison due to limited supply.  
Packer demand good for the limited supply.  Total of 60 cows and bulls 
sold with 42 percent going to packers.

   Feeder Steers:  Medium and Large 1:  pkg 696 lbs full 95.00.
   Medium and Large 1-2:  pkg 310 lbs 124.00; pkg 583 lbs 103.50; pkg 
721 lbs 97.75; pkg 788 lbs 94.00.
