Feeder Cattle Auction Narrative Report for 11/23/2009

Estimated Receipts:  7800   Last Monday:  11,444   Year Ago:  5256

   Compared to last week:  Feeder steers steady on a light test.  Feeder 
heifers steady to 2.00 higher on a light test.  Demand good for the few 
offerings.  Steer and heifer calves 2.00-5.00 higher.  Demand extremely 
good for calves.  Calf orders appearing about a week earlier than the
norm.   An unusually warm wet fall has provided perfect growing 
conditions for wheat pasture.  Quality plain to average, few attractive.
Supply included 50 percent over 600 lbs and 44 percent heifers.
