Feeder Cattle Auction Narrative Report for Mon 06/17/2013

Actual Receipts:  9247   Last Monday:  11,453   Yr Ago Monday:  6531

   Compared to last week:  Feeder steers and heifers sold 1.00 to 3.00 
higher.  Demand moderate too good for feeder cattle.  Steer and heifer 
calves uneven but a higher undertone for long weaned calves. Quality plain
to average.  Warm temperatures and slight chances for storms are in the 
forecast for the week.  Wheat harvest is in progress in the Southern parts 
of the state and should be in full swing by the end of the week. Supply 
included 87 percent over 600 lbs. and 39 percent heifers.

   Feeder Steers Medium and Large 1:  Calves:  440-475 lbs 168.00-175.50;
515-540 lbs 159.50-170.00; 550-600 lbs 150.25-166.50; 615-650 lbs 140.50-
149.50; Yearlings:  600-650 lbs 147.00-153.00, few fleshy 145.75; 650-
700 lbs 137.50-146.00; 700-800 lbs 134.00-142.00, fleshy 133.00; 800-
