SUMMARY OF 5 MISSISSIPPI CATTLE AUCTIONS HELD IN HATTIESBURG (688), FOREST 
(789), MERIDIAN (157), MACON (350), AND HOUSTON (534) ON February 8, 2010.

Receipts:  2,518    Last Week:  2,483    Last Year:  3,250

   Compared to last Monday, slaughter cows and bulls sold 3.00 to 5.00 higher. 
Feeder steers and heifers sold 2.00 to 4.00 higher.  
The supply included 14 percent slaughter cows and 15 percent pairs/replacements.  
The feeder supply included 53 percent steers and 47 percent heifers, 
with an estimated 13 percent of the feeder supply weighing over 600 lbs.
