JC_LS770 Jefferson City, MO Tue Jul 7, 2009 MO Dept of Ag/USDA Market News Carthage- Joplin Regional Stockyards Video Feeder Cattle Weighted Average Report for 07/06/2009 Offering: 12065 Last Week: 1238 Year Ago: 0 Demand moderate to good for this week's Joplin Video Auction. The video auction was held in conjunction with Joplin's regular Monday feeder cattle sale. Cattle offered were from Missouri, Oklahoma, Kansas, Arkansas and Alabama. Fifty six percent of the cattle will be gathered early, sorted, loaded, hauled three to twenty miles, with the exception of one load will be hauled thirty miles, and weighed on the truck with a two percent pencil shrink. Forty four percent of the cattle will be weighed on the ground with a two to three percent pencil shrink. A four cent slide on the first fifty pounds over base weight, a six cent slide on the next forty pounds, over ninety pounds contract voidable.
