Feeder Cattle Weighted Average Report for 11/19/2009 Receipts: 723 Last Week: 1169 Year Ago: 1135 Compared to last weeks larger run, steers and heifers mostly 1.00 to 4.00 lower with a few of the right kind, quality and condition 650 to 705 lb steers 2.00 higher. Slaughter cows steady. Average feeder quality not as attractive as last week. Demand light to moderate. Cows and bulls were 14 percent of receipts. In the feeder supply, steers and bulls were 53 percent of the run; heifers 47 percent. Near 47 percent of feeders weighed over 600 lbs. No sale next week. Enjoy the holiday.
