Feeder Cattle Weighted Average Report for 02/04/2010 Receipts: 1489 Last Week: 1472 Year Ago: 1511 Compared to last week, steers from 600 to 800 lbs and heifers from 500 to 700 lbs steady to 3.00 higher; other weights weak to 4.00 lower. Slaughter cows traded 1.00 to 2.00 higher. With changing weather conditions, demand was only moderate to good for calves under 500 lbs but good to very good for other weights. Supply moderate to heavy. Cows and bulls were 10 percent of receipts. In the feeder supply, steers and bulls were 58 percent of the run; heifers 42 percent. Near 40 percent of feeders weighed over 600 lbs.
