Slaughter cows 5.00-7.00 higher. Another active market with higher prices for about whatever walks through the ring. Unseasonably warm temperatures for the last day of January is making for an easy winter so far when it comes to feeding and handling cattle. Demand good and supply moderate. Cows and bulls accounted for 20 percent of the run and feeders 80 percent. In the feeder supply, steers and bulls made up approximately 45 percent of the run; heifers 55 percent; steers and heifers over 600 lbs totaled around 38 percent.
