Goat and Sheep Report for 4/27/13

Receipts:  319    Last Month:  237    Year Ago:  243

All goats and sheep graded by MO Dept of Ag-USDA Graders and bought 
per cwt. based on in-weights at the buying station. Offerings were 
made up of 85 percent goats and 15 percent sheep. Next scheduled market 
date will be Saturday, May 25th. The station will be open to accept 
goats from 9:00 a.m. till 3:00 p.m. All prices per cwt.

Slaughter Classes:
Goats:
   Kids: Selection 1 45-60 lbs 190.00; 61-80 lbs 165.00; over 81 lbs 115.00.  
Selection 2 45-60 lbs 175.00; 61-80 lbs 150.00; 81 lbs and over 90.00. 

   Feeder Kids:  20-44 lbs 80.00

   Slaughter Does/Nannies:  Selection 1-2 under 120 lbs 85.00. 
Selection 3 75.00. yearlings any grade 85.00

   Slaughter Bucks: Selection 1-2 85.00; yearling bucks any grade 85.00; 
wethers any grade 100 lbs and over 80.00.

Sheep:
   Slaughter Lambs:  Choice and Prime 2-3 hair or wooled 80 lbs and 
under 95.00-115.00.

   Slaughter Ewes:  Utility and Good 1-3 35.00.

   Aged Rams:  30.00.
 
   Feeder Lambs:  Medium and Large 1-2 under 50 lbs 65.00.
