Goat and Sheep Report for 4/28/2012

Receipts:  243    Last Month:  204    Year Ago:  147

All goats and sheep graded by MO Dept of Ag-USDA Graders and bought 
per cwt. based on in-weights at the buying station. Offerings were 
made up of 69 percent goats and 31 percent sheep. Next scheduled market 
date will be Saturday, May 26th. The station will be open to accept 
goats from 9:00 a.m. till 3:00 p.m. All prices per cwt.

Slaughter Classes:
Goats:
   Kids: Selection 1 45-60 lbs 230.00; 61-80 lbs 190.00. Selection 2 
45-60 lbs 210.00; 61-80 lbs. 180.00.  Selection 3 45-60 lbs 100.00, 
61-80 lbs 145.00.

   Feeder Kids:  Selection 1-2 20-44 lbs. 80.00.

   Slaughter Does/Nannies:  Selection 1-3 80.00-90.00

   Slaughter Bucks: Selection 3 80.00; any grade yearlings 95.00 

Sheep:
   Slaughter Lambs: Choice and Prime 2-3 81-100 lbs 125.00, hair 80 lbs and under 
170.00-180.00, 81 lbs and up 125.00.

   Slaughter Ewes:  Utility and Good 1-3 70.00.

   Slaughter Rams:  aged 65.00

   Feeder Lambs: Scarce
