Feeder Cattle and Slaughter Cow Auction for 7/7/09

   Due to the Holiday there was no sale last week for a trend comparison, 
however compared to two weeks ago steers and heifers sold 2.00-5.00 higher. 
Slaughter cows sold steady and bulls sold 2.00 higher; Demand good and supply 
light.   Cows made up approximately 17 percent the run, 83 percent feeders.   
Steers made up approximately 37 percent of the offering, 50 percent heifers.   
Offerings over 600 lbs totaled around 23 percent.

   Cow-calf pairs:   Medium and Large 1-2   few 2-7 yrs old, 930-1345 lbs with 
70-180 lbs calves, 800.00-1190.00 per pair.
