Feeder Cattle and Slaughter Auction for 5/22/2013

Receipts:  689    Last Week:  1277    Year ago:  1173

   Compared to last week, few 700 lbs steers and heifers sold steady to 2.00 
higher, the rest of the offering sold 1.00-6.00 lower on a light test.  Slaughter 
cows sold 2.00 higher, bulls sold steady; Demand uneven and supply light.  Cows 
made up approximately 17 percent of the run, 83 percent feeders.   Steers made up 
approximately 43 percent of the offering, 43 percent heifers with 29 percent being 
over 600 lbs.

   Feeder Steers:  Medium and Large 1  pkg 255 lbs 166.00; few 350-400 lbs 150.00-
160.00; few 425-500 lbs 144.00-150.50; 500-600 lbs 135.00-145.00; 600-700 lbs

stage, 875.00-1025.00 per head.
  
   Cow/calf pairs:  Medium and Large 1-2  few 6 yrs old, 1050-1215 lbs with 140-210 
lb calves, 1475.00-1550.00 per pair.
