Cow and Bull Auction Report for 06/12/2013

Receipts:  355    Last Week:  706    Last Year:  1510

   Compared to last week, slaughter cows traded 1.00-3.00 higher.  Bulls were
fully steady to 1.00 higher on a much lighter test.  Supply very light.  Demand
good.  Bred cows were limited and made up of singles and small pkgs, although
one larger consignment of mainly Medium 2  3-6 yr old Fall calving cows were on
hand.  High heat and heat index zeroed in across the Acorn-Belt this week
sending us fat boys and our trusty over weight canine companion to a shade.

low indiv 80.00.

   Bred Cows: Medium and Large 1-2  2-7 yrs including a few short-solids 950-
1250 lbs 2nd and 3rd stage 1000.00-1250.00 per head, consignment mostly Medium 2
3-6 yrs 950-970 lbs 2nd stage 1000.00-1025.00.  Other Medium 1-2  2-7 yrs
800-1010 lbs 1st thru 3rd stage (mostly 2nd stage) 850.00-975.00 per head.

   Cow-Calf Pairs:  Very scarce, few scattered indiv sales Medium and Large 1-2
5 yrs 1000-1250 lbs with babies to 250 lb calves 1225.00-1575.00 per pair.
