Cattle Auction Report for 11/17/2009

   Compared to last week, steers from 500 to 550 lbs 2.00 to 3.00 higher;
other steers and heifers 1.00 to 4.00 lower.  Slaughter cows steady.
Supply moderate to heavy with a good quality run that included six load
lots of seven and eight weight feeders.  Demand moderate – best for steers.
Cows and bulls were 15 percent of receipts.  In the feeder supply, steers
and bulls were 74 percent of the run; heifers were 26 percent.  Near
68 percent of feeders weighed over 600 lbs.

   Feeder Steers:  Medium and Large 1  300-400 lbs 108.50-115.00
400-500 lbs 107.00-112.50; 500-600 lbs 96.75-111.25, fleshy 95.00;
600-700 lbs 90.00-97.50, calves 88.00-90.75; 700-800 lbs 89.50-96.35,
calves 88.00-88.50; 800-900 lbs 91.00-93.00, fleshy 84.00; pkg
937 lbs 80.50.  Medium and Large 1-2  400-500 lbs 104.50-115.50;
500-600 lbs 95.25-111.50, fleshy 86.00; 600-700 lbs 88.00-99.00;

   Feeder Heifers:  Medium and Large 1  pkg 360 lbs 107.50; 400-

88.75; 700-800 lbs 84.00-90.00.  Medium and Large 1-2  400-500 lbs
86.50-104.50; 500-600 lbs 80.00-90.00, fleshy 76.00-79.00; 600-
