Cattle Auction Report for 02/02/2010

   Compared to last week, feeders traded 1.00 to 3.00 higher.  Average
feeder quality was less attractive than last week but condition was
very good.  Supply moderate to heavy.  Demand very good with strength
throughout the sale. Slaughter cows sold 1.00-2.00 higher.  Cows and
bulls were 8 percent of receipts.  In the feeder supply, steers and
bulls were 59 percent of the run; heifers 41 percent.  Near 64 percent
of feeders weighed over 600 lbs.

   Feeder Steers:  Medium and Large 1  350-400 lbs 122.00-123.50; 400-
500 lbs 119.00-125.00; 500-600 lbs 102.25-118.00, fleshy 95.75; 600-
700 lbs 98.00-106.25, fleshy 92.25-94.00; 700-800 lbs 94.85-100.50,
fleshy 92.25; 800-900 lbs 92.00-95.10; 915-935 lbs 91.00-91.75.  Medium
and Large 1-2  pkg 398 lbs 119.50; 400-500 lbs 116.00-125.00; 500-
600 lbs 104.10-115.50, thin 118.50-120.00; 600-700 lbs 92.75-102.75;
700-800 lbs 94.60-98.10; pkg 837 lbs 95.50.

   Feeder Heifers:  Medium and Large 1  340-400 lbs 103.50-105.00; 400-
500 lbs 100.50-107.00; 500-600 lbs 96.10-102.50; 600-700 lbs 88.00-
96.00, fleshy 84.00; 700-800 lbs 87.85-94.50; 800-900 lbs 85.00-87.00.
