Feeder cattle and cow auction for 7/6/09

Receipts:   500   Last Week:   No Sale   Last Year:   654

   Due to the Holiday there was no sale last week, however compared to two weeks 
ago steers and heifers sold 2.00-7.00 higher.   Slaughter cows sold 4.00 higher 
and bulls sold 3.00 higher; Demand good and supply light.   Cows made up 
approximately 17 percent of the run, 83 percent feeders.   Steers made up 
approximately 35 percent of the offering, 51 percent heifers.   Offerings over 
600 lbs totaled around 20 percent.

   Feeder Steers:  Medium and Large 1-2   few 250-300 lbs 109.00-120.00; 300-400 
lbs 105.00-114.00; 400-500 lbs 97.50-109.00; fancy pkg 450 lbs 110.00; 500-600 
lbs 92.50-103.00; pkg full 532 lbs 91.50; 600-650 lbs 90.00-99.50; 725-750 lbs 
91.00-99.00; pkg 998 lbs 80.50.   Medium 2   425-500 lbs 89.00-99.00; pkg 510
