Feeder Cattle Auction Close for 7/06/2009

   Compared to last week, steers under 800 lbs steady to 1.00 higher, heifers
under 650 lbs 2.00 to 3.00 higher, steers over 800 lbs and heifers over 650 lbs
2.00 to 4.00 higher.  Demand moderate to good, supply moderate.  The sale was
highlighted with several loads of yearlings.  Corn continues a down trend as
contracts on the CBOT closed two to sixteen lower.  Feeder Cattle contracts at
the CME closed on the plus side, Live Cattle contracts closed mixed.  The feeder
supply included 60 percent steers, 36 percent heifers, 04 percent bulls, with
64 percent over 600 lbs.

103.00-115.00; 500-600 lbs 102.50-112.50; 600-700 lbs 102.00-107.00, calves
