Slaughter cows 2.00-3.00 higher. Hot and humid weather conditions, especially for June, has really put the brakes on calf demand. Hay baling is in full swing, although the humidity and scattered showers have made even that difficult for some area farmers. Demand light to good and supply light to moderate. Cows and bulls accounted for 6 percent of the run and feeders 94 percent. In the feeder supply, steers and bulls made up approximately 43 percent of the run; heifers 57 percent; steers and heifers over 600 lbs totaled around 46 percent.
