New Cambria - New Cambria Livestock Auction
Feeder Cattle Auction for 11/19/09

Receipts:  735    Week Ago:  1325    Year Ago:  1275

   Compared to last week, feeder steers and heifers steady to
2.00 lower.  Slaughter cows steady.  Calf prices continue to hold
up well considering the extremely muddy conditions throughout the
area, high grain prices, and the sour fed cattle market.  Demand
moderate and supply moderate to light.  Cows and bulls accounted
for 7 percent of the run and feeders 93 percent.  In the feeder
supply, steers and bulls made up approximately 50 percent of the
run; heifers 50 percent; steers and heifers over 600 lbs totaled
around 67 percent.

   Feeder Steers:  Medium and Large 1 Few 350-400 lbs 117.00-119.00;
Few 400-500 lbs 104.75-117.00; 500-600 lbs 99.00-106.25; Few 600-700 lbs
96.00-96.75; 700-800 lbs 90.85-93.75.  Medium and Large 1-2 Pkg 643 lbs
94.75; 700-750 lbs 91.00-94.35.

   Feeder Heifers:  Medium and Large 1  400-500 lbs 87.00-95.00;
550-600 lbs 86.75-92.00.  Medium and Large 1-2 Few 500-550 lbs
89.75-92.25; 600-700 lbs 84.50-89.50; 700-800 lbs 85.00-86.75.
Medium 1-2  350-400 lbs 92.50-99.00; Pkg 601 lbs 84.00.
