Feeder Cattle Auction for 11/23/09

   Compared to the last tested market from two weeks ago, feeder
steers and heifers steady.  Slaughter cows 1.00-2.00 higher.  Several
nice strings of calves in the offering along with a few yearlings, but
many of calves showing more flesh than most buyers desire.  Demand and
supply moderate.  Cows and bulls accounted for 13 percent of the run
and feeders 87 percent.  In the feeder supply, steers and bulls made
up approximately 46 percent of the run; heifers 54 percent; steers and
heifers over 600 lbs totaled around 46 percent.

   Feeder Steers:  Medium and Large 1 Few 300-400 lbs 111.00-114.00;
400-500 lbs 103.00-112.50, Fleshy 496 lbs 96.50; 500-600 lbs 98.00-103.00;
600-700 lbs 90.00-97.25, Fleshy 86.25-92.25.  Medium and Large 1-2
500-600 lbs 92.50-103.00, Fleshy 86.50-89.25; 600-700 lbs 92.00-95.25,
Fleshy 84.00-92.25; 700-750 lbs 94.25-96.85.  Medium 1-2  350-400 lbs
102.00-103.75; Fleshy 500 lbs 80.50; Pkg 551 lbs 94.00.
