Feeder Cattle Auction Report for 06/30/09

Receipts:  396      week ago  232      year ago  554 

   Compared to last week, no good recent price comparison on feeder
steers and heifers, undertone steady to weak.  Demand moderate.
Supply very light, mostly small packages of 450-650 lbs feeders, near
44 percent steers, 38 percent heifers, 18 percent cows and 6 percent
feeders over 600 lbs.  Slaughter cows 1.00-2.00 higher.

   Feeder steers:  Medium and Large 1-2 small pkgs 400-500 lbs 113.50-
117.00; 500-600 lbs 105.00-115.75; 600-700 lbs 98.00-105.00.
Medium 2 pkg 495 lbs 101.75; pkg 565 lbs 107.10.

   Feeder heifers: Medium and Large 1-2 small pkgs 425-500 lbs 95.00-
100.25; 500-600 lbs 95.00-100.00.  Medium 2 pkg 445 lbs 95.00.
