   Compared to two weeks ago, a much lighter test of feeder cattle and calves 
sold firm to 3.00 higher.  The best demand was noted for four loads of yearlings 
while the calf offering was made up of small bunches which did not push the 
market to its potential.  Other than the load lots, buyers had a hard time 
making loads.  Slaughter cows had a higher undertone when compared to the 
extremely light test of two weeks ago, while bulls were fully steady.  Supply 
included 21 percent cows and bulls with the balance feeders.  The feeder run had 
56 percent steers and 44 heifers, 68 percent over 600 lbs.

   Feeder Steers:  Medium and Large 1 pkg 455 lbs 175.00; 500-550 lbs 160.00-
166.50; pkg unweaned 555 lbs 166.75; 600-650 lbs 151.50-154.00; pkg unweaned 690 
lbs 130.00; pkg 785 lbs 137.50; two loads 800-850 lbs 134.00-138.75; load 855 
lbs 133.00.  Medium and Large 1-2 few 450-500 lbs 152.00-159.00; 500-600 lbs 
149.00-160.00; 600-700 lbs 132.00-141.00; 700-800 lbs 131.25-138.25. 

   Feeder Heifers:  Medium and Large 1 pkg 490 lbs 153.00, pkg unweaned 455 lbs 
145.50; 550-600 lbs 145.25-145.50, unweaned 136.00-139.50; 600-650 lbs 135.00-

heiferettes (mostly black) 975-1175 lbs 85.00-95.00.

   Bred Cows:  Medium and Large 1 pkg 5-7 year old good quality black 1300 lb 
fall calving bred cows 1150.00 per head.   

   Cow/Calf Pairs:  Medium and Large 1 Consignment 4-7 year old 1250-1450 lb top 
quality blk/bwf cows w/100-250 lb calves 2025.00-2200.00 per pair.
