Cattle Auction Report for 02/04/2010

   Compared to last week, steers from 600 to 800 lbs and heifers from
500 to 700 lbs steady to 3.00 higher; other weights weak to 4.00 lower.
Slaughter cows traded 1.00 to 2.00 higher.  With changing weather
conditions, demand was only moderate to good for calves under 500 lbs
but good to very good for other weights.  Supply moderate to heavy.
Cows and bulls were 10 percent of receipts.  In the feeder supply,
steers and bulls were 58 percent of the run; heifers 42 percent.  Near
40 percent of feeders weighed over 600 lbs.

   Feeder Steers:  Medium and Large 1  500-600 lbs 106.00-114.00;
600-700 lbs 97.25-109.50, fleshy/unweaned 90.00-96.00; 700-800 lbs
93.50-100.25; 800-850 lbs 92.50-93.10; lot 964 lbs 85.00.  Medium
and Large 1-2  pkg 442 lbs 110.50; 500-600 lbs 101.75-111.00, fleshy
95.50; 600-700 lbs 94.00-101.25; 700-800 lbs 90.00-99.00, fleshy 92.60.

   Feeder Heifers:  Medium and Large 1  450-500 lbs 94.00-100.00; 500-
600 lbs 94.25-101.00, fleshy/unweaned 87.00; 600-700 lbs 88.00-97.50,
fleshy/full 84.00; 700-800 lbs 86.50-88.85; lot 876 lbs fleshy 83.00.
