Cattle Auction Report for 11/19/2009

Receipts:  723    One Week Ago:  1169    Year Ago:  1135

   Compared to last weeks larger run, steers and heifers mostly 1.00 to
4.00 lower with a few of the right kind, quality, and condition 650 to
705 lb steers 2.00 higher.  Slaughter cows steady.  Average feeder
quality not as attractive as last week.  Demand light to moderate.  Cows
and bulls were 14 percent of receipts.  In the feeder supply, steers and
bulls were 53 percent of the run; heifers 47 percent.  Near 47 percent of
feeders weighed over 600 lbs.  No sale next week.  Enjoy the holiday.

   Feeder Steers:  Medium and Large 1  pkg 393 lbs 117.00; 400-500 lbs
106.00-115.00; 500-600 lbs 99.00-109.00; 600-700 lbs 89.50-96.75 calves
82.00-88.00; 700-800 lbs 86.50-94.35, calves 84.00.  Medium and Large 1-2
pkg 405 lbs 109.00; few 500-600 lbs 93.50-95.00, fleshy or Brahman X
84.00-89.25; 600-635 lb calves 82.00-86.00; pkg 768 lbs 84.00; pkg 800 lbs
81.00.

   Feeder Heifers:  Medium and Large 1  400-500 lbs 83.00-90.00, fleshy
81.00-84.00; 500-600 lbs 78.50-85.50, fleshy 74.50-77.00; 600-650 lb
calves 77.50-79.25; pkg 695 lbs 77.00, calves 74.00-75.00; few 700-
800 lb calves 74.50-75.50.  Medium and Large 1-2  400-500 lbs 83.00-88.00,
fleshy or Brahman X 75.00-80.50; 500-600 lbs fleshy 74.00-77.00; 600-
700 lbs 74.50-78.00, full 71.00-72.00; 750-785 lbs 76.50-77.50.
